Seriously?
During my morning breakfast time, I like to put a little news on the TV, sort of in the background of my routine. Usually, it's CNN, because I like to see how low American Morning has sunk since Chez's firing (and based on Ali Velshi's grating demeanor lately, it's pretty goddamn low). Very, very occasionally, when I'm in the mood for an unabashed sideshow, I throw on local news. This morning, however, due to an issue with CNN's sound feed, I turned to MSNBC's Morning Joe. In the middle of a discussion about Hillary/Obama and today's primaries, a face appeared on my screen for which I was unprepared. Now, I know this show is stupid. Like, really, Pauly Shore-level stupid. And yet, seeing Tiki Barber's mug on this news program still blew my mind.
Yes, Tiki. Fucking. Barber.
Admittedly, I did not catch the reason for Tiki's inclusion in the discussion. But this is how I imagine it came about:
[Tiki Barber is wandering around MSNBC's studio at 6:45 a.m., having nothing better to do between the NFL Draft and training camp.]
Some Dope from MSNBC: Hey, Tiki Barber! Would you like to participate in an on-air discussion about the Democratic Party's race for the presidential nomination? I know that you're totally lacking the qualifications, but here's the thing: You're black. Aaaand, you're kind of a woman, being that you retired from football in your prime and deluded yourself into thinking that your team would be totally lost without you, even though they won the Super Bowl without your girly ass. So you're illogically perfect for this.
Tiki: Sure, let's do it. And thanks!
