My laptop was not in the mood to cooperate with me yesterday. Specifically, my Java platform. I had a great tune all picked out for the "What I'm Listening To" thing that we've begun for Pajiba Music, and had only to upload it to Grooveshark and write a couple witty sentences. Alas, it was not to be; my Java platform simply would not start the uploader. I tried a few simple fixes: shutting down and restarting the Java launcher, updating the Java software, checking various settings on the Java console and in Firefox. Nothing worked. It seemed like it just wasn't in the cards for me. I was irritated. Thus, I bitterly changed my selection to a song from an album I didn't really care for, and stated as much. You can read about it tomorrow.
What didn't dawn on me until this morning, though (because I spent the rest of the day watching the Cavaliers' first home loss and then splattering sauce all over myself), was the other course of action that I failed to consider.
Uploading the song from the desktop computer that is five feet behind me.
Way to keep your head in the game, jackass. Good work letting a little setback alter your entire plan.
