That's not even why the cable ties and bungee are there. They were actually used to provide more resistance to the Crew during the "catch," at the last extension of the stroke when you pull with your arms. The only problems with the machine are the rust on the cage and that the monitor has a few LCD segments that don't light up; no biggie, the coach is getting another PM2 fixed presently, and I'll be getting that one in a couple weeks.

Of all the things that could be jacked-up on a used rower, a wobbly display arm is nothing to worry about. Good get.
